Parents at Tennessee Tech may borrow up to $500 per semester without being charged any interest. To qualify, you must have astudent borrower student borrower who attends Tennessee Tech and is enrolled in a degree program.

This program provides parents with assistance to assist their student-athletes in meeting all educational expenses associated with competing in intercollegiate athletics at Tennessee Tech University (TTU). Eligible parents may borrow $500 per semester for each child participating in athletics-related activities. Parents who participate in the TTU Parent Plus Loan Program receive financial aid in the form of a monthly check made payable to the parentsparents of eligible student athletes. Students must apply for the program upon entering college and remain enrolled until graduation. Financial need and credit history are considered when determining eligibility for this loan. An application to borrow funds under the program must be submitted no later than July 1st of each year. A completed application and supporting documentation must accompany the loan request.

The Office of Scholarships and Student Aid offers a variety of loans to help students meet educational costs incurred while attending Tennessee Tech. These loans range from federal work study programs to low-interestlow-interest private loans. Each loan carries its own terms and conditions. However. However, qualifying criteria includes good academicstanding, a standing, a minimum grade point average, current FAFSA status, and approval by both the university and the lender.
