Student Loans at Colorado Technical University

loansforstudent

Student loans have become more popular over the past decade due to their affordability compared to traditional college loans. However, student loans require repayment, and once the loan is paid back, the borrower is given a credit score based on the amount of debt repaid, interest rate, and length of time spent repaying the loan. If you default on your student loan payments, it will negatively affect your credit. These changes in your credit may make obtaining a home mortgage difficult, if not impossible, for some people.

To help students avoid these issues, Colorado Technical University offers a variety of loan programs designed to provide assistance to students who need financial aid while they pursue higher education.

Loan types offered at CTU include:

Stafford Loan

The Federal Perkins Loan

Stafford Loan with Direct Subsidization

Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loans

A Federal PLUS Loan

The Private Student Loan

Loan for Graduate Students

GTP (Graduate Tuition Waiver Program)

The GTP helps eligible graduate students receive full tuition waivers at Colorado Tech, plus $2,000 per year during the period of study. Students apply for eligibility and are provided information about the program upon application.

Students should contact the Financial Aid Office at 303-283-8200 x18 for further details about the GTP.
