Cost-benefitCost-benefit and return calculations should be considered when determining where to invest your money. In this case, if you can turn $100 into $140 of profit in a year, then the cost benefit analysis establishes that as the highest yielding method of capitalization. There are government initiatives against leveraged lending, but if you can afford a small percentage loss of capital, then, then it can actually work. On the other hand, we recommend avoiding high-yieldhigh-yield bank accounts due to low balance protection and higher fees.

Return on Investment

Next, let’s look at return on investment. To determine this calculation, we first take the total dollar amount being invested ($100) and divide it by the expected yearly income after taxes and commissions ($1400). The result is 14. As long as this ratio remains above 10% per year, the ROI calculation supports the decision to do this type of investing. However, many people prefer to keep their investments below 5%, thus decreasing the potential upside of the investment.
