If you’re looking for a great way to start building your own business, then perhaps Alaska’s post-secondary loan program could be just what you need.

The Alaska State Community College System is offering small businesses access to low-interest loans to help them expand their operations and hire additional staff. These loans can be used for equipment purchases, inventory, advertising, training, payroll, marketing, rent and more! Businesses that qualify may receive financing of up to $250,000.

Alaska Post Secondary Loan

This program offers loans from $10,000–30,000 at low interest rates to Alaska residents who wish to pursue higher education. Students receive free tuition, fees, and books for 2 years after graduation. Interest only payments exist for 4 months, and then the loan becomes fully amortized. Eligibility requirements: 1) Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident; 2) Live in Alaska; 3) Be enrolled full-time (12+ credits/semester); 4) Have no delinquent federal student loans; and 5) Have never been convicted of a felony offense.6) No income in excess of the federal poverty line.7) Must keep a steady job for the duration of the loan.8) Submit an online application by December 31st of each year.9) A sign-up bonus is available.
